Each to his own or something similar…

The recent demise of a favourite wool jumper from Hobbs (ruined when it went in the washing machine!) has led to an alarming personal addiction to searching on Ebay for a replacement.  By signing up for a regular reminder for “Hobbs Jumpers and Cardigans”, I found myself receiving emails every 2 days notifying me of new listings.  I have failed to find a replacement to my gorgeous dusky pink cable knit jumper, but perhaps the fun is in the searching because in the process I have succumbed to 3 other delightful Hobbs jumpers….  one of these I have worn almost daily since and it has become “Jumper Number One”.   Needless to say the rest of my family do not share my excitement as yet another jumper arrives in the post, but then it is probably a case of “each to his own” and, after all, I don’t jump up and down with joy and excitement when a computer part or the latest in electronic wizardry arrives for my household of boys.

Thankfully it isn’t all bad news – all 3 sons have agreed to go on a “Survival Cooking for Men” Course at a local cookery school in the Easter Holidays – I can’t believe how readily they agreed to it, so one mustn’t necessarily jump to sexist conclusions…
