We all got thoroughly carried away celebrating the Royal Wedding on Friday; what a fabulous event it was. Bertie and Bella had special dog collars made, we hung up our bunting and, in a burst of inspiration, we even painted some hard boiled eggs red, white and blue. Most of the remaining weekend has been spent preparing Year End Accounts, a ghastly tedious job at the best of times, but even worse when the weather is so lovely. Never mind, there is always a sense of “out with the old and in with the new” once the files have been prepared and all the papers put to one side ready for the accountant. This year it has been even more pressing than usual to work to a 1st May deadline now that we have two sets of Student Finance applications to contend with! Coupled with the yearly paperwork for the Single Farm Payment, I think we have all had enough of grappling with papers.
With just over a week to go before the Spirit of Summer Show in Olympia, plans are now being finalised for our stand; signs made, accommodation booked, who will be what, where and when and all that being away entails. Linked up to all of that are some last minute finishing touches to be done before a blog can be created for our Magniwool website. Over the past few months we have taken a deliberate step to give Magniwool its own brochure as it is a unique product which needs a different approach.
