Harvey Nichols – all wrapped up for Wool Week 2012

White Cloud will shortly be donating wool fleece for the Campaign for Wool’s ambitious and innovative project for October 2012.  Following on from the success of sheep grazing in Savile Row in 2010 and Wool Modern last year, 2012 will see Harvey Nichols wrapped in over-sized, brightly coloured yarn.  Weaving in and out of windows, the yarn will be joined by a pair of huge knitting needles.  The display will be in place for 2 weeks from October 15th and all wool utilised for the event will be recycled…

The Campaign for Wool is an initiative started by HRH Prince of Wales in 2010 to spread the message of wool as the natural fibre of choice.  It aims to convince consumers to choose wool over synthetic materials in fashion and lifestyle and for personal benefit, to make a positive contribution to the environment.

This past week has seen some very positive developments for White Cloud, with discussions for both a large London store and a couple of prestigious London hotels coming to fruition.  From our point of view it is a sign of a more widespread appreciation for the benefits that sleeping with wool offers, but also, thanks to The Campaign for Wool, an awareness of the eco credentials that wool offers.
