We are all now back in the fold after a very successful show at Spirit of Summer – in Olympia the setting looked fantastic and we were fortunate to have been given a very good stand location. It makes a tremendous difference for customers to be able to see and feel our products – one of the great challenges of running a mail-order/internet based business. Being placed near to Tonder & Tonder was a huge bonus; we share a dear and valued customer in common and although we knew about each other’s businesses, had never met before. Hannah offers lovely custom made cotton bed linen and we will be doing much more to link up with each other in the future ….
Oh, and did I mention the wonderful costume jewellery earrings from Parkside Accessories and James’ beautiful pottery and reclaimed tiles from France? For those of us living some distance from London, it really was enjoyable. No wonder the Spirit of Summer Show has such a well deserved reputation.
Back home again now and discussing our next order from New Zealand, preparing a special order of custom size dog beds for a customer in the Isle of Wight, ordering more gingham fabric for dog beds, packing up an order of scented Aromawool pillows for Lainston House Hotel in Sussex and checking and measuring Emperor size duvets which may be needed for a special order. In between all of that, just as some light relief, preparing for a VAT return and catching up with filing – oh the varied joys of running a business!
