Spring in Paris, impulsive purchase on Achica and “Wellington” news

The end of a busy week;  after a year of doing business together, we finally had a chance to rendezvous in Paris with our French customers.  It was a very heartening conversation; the French themselves instinctively recognise high quality and a lot of income is spent on comfort and wellbeing.   It is particularly rewarding to deal with another family run business as we feel there is much in common and we will do all we can to help them continue to prosper.

Somehow we also squeezed in another meeting this week to discuss Spirit of Summer Fair 11th-14th May and the preparations for our Stand (C69).  Lizzie’s Shepherd’s Hut will, we hope form a theme, around which we intend taking lots of lambskins, soft wool pillows, wool duvets, duck egg blue blankets and, the piece de resistance; Wellington!  Wellington is a most handsome model sheep, about 85cm tall,  made in New Zealand and we usually try to incorporate him into any displays we do at shows.

Finally, I really do recommend signing up to Achica; this is an online store offering luxury products at really good prices.  After about a year of being sent emails, I finally succumbed last night and purchased two lovely Laurige products; an orange briefcase and a gorgeous purple handbag.  As is usually the way, there is a strange connection here as my Laurige card holder wallet originally came from Burghley 2 years ago and that was Wellington’s very first debut in public.  I also thought a chic orange briefcase might be just the thing when we next meet up in France, but whether it will be big enough to accommodate all the little gift boxes our French customers would like made for their customers is another matter entirely ….
