Made with premium blended Merino wool, the children's duvet is the lightest in the White Cloud range. Generally speaking, children are warmer than adults and this Junior size duvet has been developed specifically for this age group. A light, soft warm pure wool duvet of approximately 2-3 tog which will maintain a comfortable temperature, whatever the weather. The softness and length of Merino (providing lightness and superior loft) is blended with lambswool to give strength and durability. The harsh winters and hot summers in Southern New Zealand produce a unique quality of wool that is second to none for softness, handle and performance.

Will my three year old find this duvet warm enough?

Yes, he will. If you feel he needs another layer in the winter, we recommend a wool blanket on top, but not synthetic as this will prevent the wool in the duvet from "breathing"

Is it true that a wool duvet is good for asthma/hay fever sufferers?

Yes! Wool does not provide the damp/humid environment in which dustmites thrive

Why can other wool duvets be washed at higher temperatures?

To make a wool duvet washable at a warmer temperature than a cold wash, it has to be put through a chemical process which strips the wool fibres of their outer layer and weakens the wool. It is no longer a genuinely "natural" product. White Cloud believes in keeping its wool duvets as natural as possible, which means no "melt" has been added (needed to bond cheaper wool fibres together), neither has the wool been passed through additional chemical treatment.

I have heard that wool duvets are a good ecological choice, is this true?

Yes, the wool is harvested annually and, unlike a feather/down filling, it does not necessitate cruelty or death. By investing in a good wool duvet you are buying responsibly and, unlike many other duvets on the market, the wool in White Cloud duvets is not a by product of the meat industry
